Case Study - Drift & Focus Book Box
A start-up venture engaged Sea of Dots to build an e-commerce site optimised for the promotion of a new quarterly book subscription service.
THE BRIEF
Drift & Focus is a new company on a mission to reignite the reading brains of the nation, one non-fiction book subscription box at a time.
The team behind Drift & Focus approached us with a brief to create a website which would facilitate the subscription service with effective touchpoints placed at strategic points throughout the customer journey.
OUR APPROACH
The initial stages of this project involved fully understanding the functionality specifications in order to deliver this subscription-based website. Time was spent understanding both the short term and long term needs of the client in order to build a website which could scale to the needs. In addition, we undertook an SEO project to understand how best to optimise the website in the existing market of book boxes. This included a full competitor’s audit including keywords, backlinks and resulted in a clear strategy for launch and future SEO resources.

THE RESULTS
Drift & Focus successfully launched in August 2022 at www.driftandfocusbookbox.com. The initial product offering attracted a number sales with a 'founders' promotion and provided a solid basis for the launch of the second quarterly product in November 2022.
